Making the best use of technology to update the PerCurra team

May is the month we hold our conference for PerCurra branch owners and managers - meeting up face to face. Not this year. We had to rethink.
Microsoft Teams has become our go-to tool for group video calling so we've used it for our virtual conference. The COVID crisis has meant our branches are busier than ever, taking on new clients so, rather than block off a full day we divided the conference agenda into one hour bite size chunks, spread throughout the month of May. This has worked brilliantly. Our founder Gill Heppell and our Branch Support Team have been able to demonstrate new company initiatives via screen sharing and engage in enthusiastic Q&A's with 'delegates'.
We have also been using technology to keep our staff well informed. We launched our bespoke smartphone App to staff at the end of last year and it's been a fantastic resource during the current situation. We can alert team members to latest Government guidelines and they can order PPE from our central stock. The App has also been a great way to support each other by sharing good news stories across our teams and lovely comments from our clients.

Here we are – it's definitely winter and we are experiencing on and off freezing conditions. Typical British weather – damp and drizzly one day and hard frosts or snow the next. There are many things we can do to stay warm and well but this can be much harder for older and vulnerable people so they may need some help.
