Another Glowing Testimonial

17 October 2024

It's always wonderful to receive reviews and testimonials from clients and their family. Here's one that has recently been posted on Google.

"Choosing a home care provider for a loved one is an overwhelming and emotional decision. Our family made the choice to bring in professional carers for my mother in January 2024, as her needs had grown beyond what we could manage ourselves. I was initially filled with anxiety and concerns—how would Mum cope with unfamiliar people in her home? What would the costs be? And most importantly, could we trust someone else to take on such a personal responsibility?

From the moment I met Joanne Townend, the Registered Care Manager for PerCurra Home Care Nottingham, I felt an immense sense of relief. Joanne is truly remarkable—her warmth, passion, and commitment to her work are evident in everything she does. She took the time to understand my mum’s needs and completely respected our request to have just a few regular carers, to avoid overwhelming Mum with too many new faces. Joanne ensured that my concerns were heard and addressed with empathy.

PerCurra began supporting my mother each morning in the New Year, and by late July, this care extended to evening visits while our family handled the daytime hours.
Joanne and her team have been nothing short of exceptional. They’ve always treated Mum with the utmost respect, and I’m particularly grateful for Rebecca, who consistently went above and beyond in her care, as well as Diane, Saadiqha, and Lucy for their compassionate support.

Sadly, in September, Mum's health declined to the point where she required residential care. However, the care provided by Joanne and her team made a significant difference in Mum's quality of life, and I have no hesitation in recommending PerCurra Home Care. The dedicated team, combined with a limited number of carers, greatly contributed to Mum’s comfort and happiness during such a difficult time."
