After my Dad suffered an advanced stroke and whilst in hospital was diagnosed with mixed dementia, on his return home we found ourselves in need of care for him - someone to help him dress, shower, make his breakfast etc. And that's when we found Percurra based in Corstorphine, Edinburgh.

Falak who runs Percurra in Corstorphine came to the house, met my Dad, listened to his needs and had someone ready to start the next day. Falak is not only kind, compassionate and caring BUT comes from a strong medical/nursing background so fully understood the difficulties my Dad would face after his stroke/diagnosis. Falak assigned us a wonderful carer called Hannah who is amazing with my Dad. He's 82 years old and still very much his own man but Hannah is great with him not to mention, gentle, kind and caring. My Dad said to Hannah the other day that she is 'A great wee lassie' and he's not wrong. Hannah comes every morning, 7 days a week is always on time and more often than not arrives early gets my dad up, dressed, makes his breakfast and sits with him while he eats. They talk, laugh and get on so well.

Falak and her team have made a huge difference to my Dad's quality of life. Hannah now feels like part of all our days and it's a pleasure to have her around. If you are looking for a professional, reliable care team then I can not recommend Falak and Hannah at Percurra (Corstorphine, Edinburgh) enough. It's quite a big deal to entrust a care company with your elderly parents but Percurra/Falak and her team are just fantastic.
